Wedding is expensive. It is kinda funny that we have to spend so much money to get married. You will need looooots money to keep marriage alive, but you spend so much money for day 1 of marriage. I always wonder why we have to have such a huge party called wedding. I do think getting married is one of the biggest milestones, but, how many people actually do celebrate long lasting marriage? You spend $50,000 to get married, but how much money would you spend to celebrate your 10 years anniversary? I think being with someone for long duration of time is more important than having fancy wedding. It’s like you celebrate more on getting into the college than graduating from the college!! No one wants to spend $50,000 on the funeral, but why? Celebrating one’s life is much more significant than celebrating uncertain future. In Japan, 25th anniversary of marriage we call silver anniversary. And for 50th anniversary, we call golden anniversary. It’s kinda cool we do celebrate long relationship. So, why the hell am I writing about wedding? Well, thanks for asking!! That’s because my friends are getting married in this month! I am in the wedding in the two weekends in a row! Eh!! I went to After Hours (tux rental store) to get measurement in this afternoon. I went to the one in Southdale shopping center. When I entered the store, I noticed no one was in the store including store staff. So, I thought maybe he/she went to bath room or something and waited for about 10 mins (standing!). Then, I started thinking maybe the store was actually closed, but he/she forgot to close the store because there was no sign of anyone! Then, I started getting pissed off because I was just standing there waiting for the store staff to come back. So, after more than 10 mins standing in the store alone, I decided to find store staff. I checked backroom when I came in the store, but I didn’t see anyone. But, I checked again anyway. Then, I recognize a person who were sleeping on the desk. I couldn't see him before because he was super sleeping, and he was almost part of the desk! After I knocked the door, he woke up and said “oh, I didn’t hear the door bell!” I thought, “well, maybe that’s because you were sleeping!! Damn Ass!” Of course, I just thought about it and didn’t say a word except fake smile with a hint of annoyance. I understand people do not rent tux every 10 mins, but you know, you should, at least, stay awake!
