Coffee and I
I had so many coffee today. I think it is true that caffeine suppress appetite! Did you know coffee cake is not made from coffee? At work, Lindsay told me that I should have coffee cake in the kitchen. I had never heard of the term “coffee cake,” so I asked Lindsay what coffee cake was. Ron told me that it’s made from coffee. So, I was like “cool! I like coffee!!” So, I went to the kitchen to get a coffee cake. My excitement turned to disappointment when I saw huge pastry on the table. Damn! Coffee cake is something you eat with coffee!! Every day, I learn new thing!

Payday and I
Yesterday was my payday. Sweet! Yeah, I worked really hard past couple weeks (well, kinda), so I was very excited to get a pay check! I was gonna save some money for my pc upgrade extravaganza, but I think I spent all money….already!! It started from Thursday. Ralph Lauren was having sale which started from Thursday, and I bought two shirts there. Both shirts were 40 % off, so I had to buy them. Ugh. They were 40 % off, but they were still kinda expensive. Oh well. I don’t care. Then, today! It was really nice out, so I took a walk and ended up with checking out the stores around my apartment. Then, when I got to Belmont, I took L and went to the downtown. I didn’t plan to buy anything, I just wanted to check out the stores, but when I went to Diesel store, I saw really cool shoes. I just wanted to try on and see how the pair look on me. So, I asked the store staff if I could get size 10.5. Well, actually, they only had one pair of shoes left and they were 10.5… I felt it was my destiny to come in to Diesel and meet this pair of shoes in this afternoon!! Of course, I did buy them. Plus, I bought should bag I have wanted to buy. I am so out of control!! Someone gotta stop me!!!!!

Sickday and I
Ugh. I was violently ill all day Sunday! I thought I was having hang over because I had a lot of alcohol beverage on Saturday night. Well, actually, I was kinda fine all morning, so I ate breakfast and watching Nick as usual. However, I felt super ultra sick in the afternoon and kept throwing up!! Ouch! I had a fever and certainly did not feel well. I even couldn’t watch tv because watching tv made me noxious! Suuuuuuuuux!! I had things to do, but I couldn’t do any of them. Oh well, my fever is gone in this morning, so it’s good. I feel still dizzy, but I think I can make it through the day!
I think the weekend was very rough. I was helping GBS open house on Friday night, and when I got home, it was close to 10pm. Of course, I just went to the bed. Saturday was my crazy shopping day and crazy drinking day. I think I have pretty good alcohol tolerance considering I am, indeed, Japanese boy, but I had a way too much beers and shots. Ugh! This weekend will be alcohol free!!

Heat and I
It’s hot. It’s just hot. In this morning, I had to wait 20 minutes for the bus, and when finally the bus came, I was sweating like a mug! I was so pissed off cos I just took shower before I left my room. Also, in the bus, I sat next to the fat lady, and her ridiculously huge thigh was actually touching my thigh! Uuuuuugh!! I was thinking “why she has to be this much fat??”
Yesterday, after I came back from the work, I went jogging. I hadn’t jogged for two weeks because of my stupid ankle. I thought having two weeks off was enough time for my ankle to heal, but noooooooooooo!! I was soooooooo mad when my ankle started hurting again!! Also, it was really really hot, and I was dangerously dehydrated. I thought I was gonna pass out. Anyway, I think I should see a doctor because I need to start running!

Engaging and I
I must congratulate Michelle and Mike! They are officially engaged today! Yaaaaaaaay!! Mike told me that he was planning to propose Michelle when we went out last night. I was like “Ooooooooooooh!!” I am glad that Michelle said yes! Anyway, yay for Michelle and Mike!
Yesterday, I went to Blues Festival with Priyada and Josh. I tried to catch Ashley and her brother, but they just left when we got there! The festival was really fun. There were several stages and bands were playing non-stop. It was kinda hot, but I really enjoyed the festival. Priyada was trying to get tan, but it seemed like Josh got more tan than Priayda!

Emotional Runner and I
I had an exam yesterday, and I think I did okay. Well, I don’t know because the kid I had to assess seemed to have no problem!! Oh well, I just wrote basic stuff. I hope I get A on that exam because I am sure I will get B+ for my final paper! I am doooomed!
My ankle wasn’t really healed yet, but I had to go jogging in this evening. Past couple days, I started noticing that I am getting fat, but I hadn’t jogged for over a week because of my ankle. But, today, I just had to go running to make myself feel better. After I ran about 5 miles, I felt so goooooood!
I have lots of things to do in this week. I must stay focus!

Bloomsday and I
Today is 100th Bloomsday. Yaaaaay Bloomsday! Since Ulysses is my favorite book, I kinda wanted to celebrate this super cool day, but I am too tired to do that! I read Ulysses when I was in high school, and the book just blew me away. Of course, I did read in Japanese, but it was still hard to read. I remember that I read several times, but still wasn’t sure some parts of the book. Then, I moved to Finnegans Wake, but I couldn’t finish reading even though it was Japanese!! I saw the documentary about the guy who translated Finnegans Wake, and it took him over 10 years to translate this book to Japanese. Couple months ago, I bought Ulysses (English…of course) and started reading it. Well, well, well, I think Ulysses is the hardest English book I have ever read! So much details and so much jumping! I am pretty sure James Joyce was schizophrenic!
When I was at Whole Foods Market, I saw a guy who spilled bulk nuts all over the floor. He didn’t seem to care that much and left. Well, asshole. Then, another guy came in and he started picking up nuts on the floor and ate them! I was like “what’s FUUUUUUUUCK!?” He did not seem to be homeless or anything. He looked well groomed, and I saw him at casher buying some stuff. I mean, why? Why he had to pick up nuts on the floor and had to eat them? Was he too hungry to reach to the casher? Was he too lazy to pick up nuts from bulk section?? I call it as “urban mystery.”

Graduation and I
Yesterday, I went to Priyada’s graduation. She worried about me getting on time, so she reminded me million times to be on time! She even called me Friday night (after 1am….of course, I was sleeping) and told me that I should be at her house around 8am… I thought “if you keep calling me, I won’t be on time!!!” But, of course, I did not vocalize my thoughts. Then, of course, she called me in the morning saying “are you awake??” Well, of course, I was awake because I took your call!!! Anyway, I was gonna buy flower on the way to Evanston, but no store was opened because it was too early….damn.
The graduation ceremony was kinda long and slow and painful, but it was alright. Although ceremony was for counseling program folks, I wasn’t sure why keynote speaker was the professor from the law school. After the graduation ceremony, I got to go to the famous Family Institution because the reception was there. Actually, the reception was very lame. There were foods, but that was it! Laaaaaaame!!
After I got back from Evanston, I was trying to work on the paper. Well, I tried, but I was able to write only one page…not good. I could work on the paper, but I went out to get dinner with Laura instead because it was Saturday night! At the restaurant, we met two old dudes. They were from Europe and kinda cool, but kinda annoying too. I was planning to not go out, but of course, after coupe of margaritas, we went out! I was feeling Sidetrack, but for some reasons, we went to Roscoe’s. Hmmm. We saw really cute guys there, and Laura was telling me that it is unfair that well dressed cute guys are all gay. Also, she was kinda freaked out by not so cute lesbians checking her out. Poor poor thing.
Of course, I was working on the paper all day. Well, yeah, but I couldn't finish it. Hmmmm. Me not happy!!

PDA and I
When I looked down the street from the office window today, I saw two guys holding hands. So, I told Ron and Lindsay that “oooh, two guys are holding hands!” Well, they couldn’t be careless about what I was saying. Fine. Then, these guys started making out on the street. So, I said “oooh, two guys are kissing each other!” Ron seemed to be kinda excited seeing two guys making out on the street and saying “Oh, that’s awesome.” So, I told him that I hate PDA (public display of affection) in general. Then, Ron took my comment as I hate gay guys making out and called me anti-gay. Hmmmmm. I think his issue is he always always takes everything too personal. I didn’t mean that I don’t like gay guys making out, I really really hate PDA. It just doesn’t make sense to me. There are some people who are not comfortable seeing PDA, so just don’t do it!! Then, some might think how about our right of PDA!! Well, if you are not going to see your partner for next a year and this is the only chance to make out, go ahead. I do not mind seeing PDA at the airport. But, not on the street!

Morality and I
Well, I am working on my paper. Hmmm, I don’t understand this. I thought I started pretty early, so I wouldn’t have to work on this paper today. Ha! What do you know! I really think this is because of weather! Nice weather does not help me to write paper at all. I just need to write two more pages, but it has been very difficult! Why? Whhhhhhhy!!!!!

Out of Mind and I
Yeah, I did it again. After work, I stopped by BananaRepublic cos it’s summer sale time! Yaaay! Well, I wasn’t really looking for anything particular, but I saw black shoes on the sale rack, so I just tried on and…..of course, I bought the pair! It was only $60, so it wasn’t too bad. Then, I went to next door, Ralph Laurent, to see if the sweater I liked was on sale. Well, I tried to look for the sweater, but it turned out, my sweater was all sold out!! Damnit! It was really really cute sweater. Oh well. I almost bought purple label shirts, but realized I do not need shirts for a while. So, I didn’t buy it. Good job Kenny!
I was still thinking about the sweater after I left RL. I really wanted to get it. It rarely happens that I cannot get it the thing I want (except relationship!). I just couldn’t give it up, so I went to Marshall Field’s to see if their RL section has one. But, before I got to RL section, I stopped by shoes section.
Then, I saw them.
I saw the pair of Puma Mostro were on sale! I have been wanting to buy them, so of course, I wanted to try on. But, the guys who were working there seemed to be busy. So, I was just checking another sale rack to kill wait time.
Then, again, I saw them!
Puma LundStorm for $30!! No way! As you can imagine, I bought both Mostro and LundStorm! Ugh! I do not understand why I go nuts when it comes buying shoes? I am not “Sex and City” kinda gal (well, guy…well...gay). I know I have enough pair of shoes! I think I have enough numbers of shoes that I can wear different pair everyday for a month. I do not understand this! I did feel kinda guilty buying three pairs for one day, so I called my brother since he is the king of shoes fetish. I call him as shoes “collector.” However, he is no longer king! He told me that he is not following new shoes these days! Oh no! I don’t understand this neither! He was the one bought two shoes which were same, but just different colors!! Oh well, but he did tell that me he bought two pairs of shoes past couple months. Phew! I am, for sure, not going to buy other pair of shoes anymore! Well, except square-toe brown kinda dressy but not too much shoes!

Pride and I
Yaaaay, pride! Well, yeah I guess. I went to pride parade with Laura in this afternoon. I was still tired from last night going out, but I thought I should go to the parade cos I am proud! The parade was very interesting. Lots of gay people! I think I had never experienced this much gayness in my life for sure! I was pretty excited about seeing the parade, but I wish I were not physically exhausted! Laura was whining such as “I am so dehydrated!” “I am so hungry and I feel like anorexic!” or “I am getting burned!” Well, sorry Laura, I dragged you to the gay parade!

I finally could have a get together congratulation Milk and Michelle thing last night at Vinci’s. Before we went to the restaurant, we had couple drinks at Ashley’s house. Well, I had more than couple of drinks though! Actually, I was drunk by the time I got to the restaurant! Yikes! Good thing the restaurant was 30 seconds from Ashley’s apt! The dinner was actually really good. I had more wine, of course. I really hope Mike and Michelle enjoyed the night with drunken geek and others!

Skippy day and I
When I woke up in this morning, I knew I was going to skip work. I did wake up around 7am and did have a time to make it to the work on time. However, since my second summer session starts from tomorrow, I really wanted to have day off. So, I took voluntary day-off!
Laura was kinds hysteric when she called me because she couldn’t find her wallet anywhere. I was so sure she would find somewhere, but she was just saying “oh my god, this is so awegul!” But, of course, she left her wallet at Kevin’s house. Hmmmm, woman!
We were trying to see Fahrenheit 9/11, but tickets were all sold out! Oh nooooooo!! So, we ended up with Duffy’s which was fine cos I do like Duffy’s!!
June 28, 2004 11:39 PM
No more and I
Last night, I was finally able to see Fahrenheit 9/11. After the class, Jeff, Courtney, Ashley, and I had a dinner at Big Bowl together. After that, Jeff told me that he was going to see Fahrenheit 9/11. Sooooo, I was like “Me me me me! Take me tooooo.” I wasn’t sure if tickets were still available, but fortunately, 10:20pm show wasn’t sold out. So, we bought tickets for us and others. Since we had time to kill, I went to Jeff&Kim’s apt for the first time! And I saw their puppy, Sophie, and I really think she is one of the sweetest puppies all the time. She just jumped to me and licked all over my face! I didn’t wanna lose, so I licked her face too! I still wanted to play with Sophie, but we did go to the movie eventually. The movie was very disturbing. I wasn’t sure if all materials Mr. Moor presented were true or not. I thought how he edited the film was very clever. Clever enough to make people think Bush family is evil!!
I knew I have decided to not buy anything. But, I bought polo shirt at Untitled before I went to the gym. Ugh! I don’t know why I keep buying things because I don’t really need new clothes or shoes or bags or whatever! Oh well, what can I do? All because of where I live and where I go to school!!
