Happy 4th July! Well, it was yesterday, and I am Japanese, but I still cerebrated July 4th at Jeff’s apt with Michelle and Mike (and Jeff). Since Jeff lives in high rise apartment, we watched fireworks from the top of the building. It was pretty spectacular! Ooooh yay! As you can imagine, while I was at Jeff’s house, I was playing with Sophie. She is just cute. Seriously, ain’t no Korean, but I can eat her (not literally)!

Last Friday, I went to the beach for the first time. Mmmm. I always jog along lakefront, but never actually been to the beach. Ashley called me if I wanted to come along with her, so I decided to go to the beach. I wanted to get a ton because I noticed that I am whiter than white people. However, I ended up with just getting sunburn!! Nooooooooooooo! Now, my back is so itchy and scratchy like a mug!

Andrew came up to Chicago on Friday, so we went to Metro to see Diesel boy. The show was pretty good until Diesel boy! I love him, but for some reasons, there was a guy on the stage singing along with Diesel boy’s music. And he was so awful! He was basically just saying “fuck fuck mother fuckeeeeer.” Well, yuck. We couldn’t stand him, so we left before the show was over. Because it was already after 2am, most of bars in the area were closed. So, we went to Neo! Neo! Yes, people who like to dress in black go to this bar! I never thought I would come back to this club! Well, actually it was kinda fun. We were doing the game called “who is gay or not.” I am pretty sure we were obnoxious dudes!

I was very very sad that my long weekend has been passed and had to go back to work and school! At least, I could relax yesterday, so it was all good!

Courtney and I went to Tarascas after the class because Tuesday is $4 off jumbo margaritas day! And, I think we needed to relax from Dr. Stevo’s class! Yaaaay 45oz margaritas! But, it’s still kinda expensive though… Since she had to pick her dog up at dog sitter’s house, she just had one beer, but it was still fun!

My sunburn is now super itchy! I was scratching my back during the class, and it was gross because my skin started coming off… Yes, I was peeling my skin! Michelle was seriously disgusted by my beautiful piece of skins! Ugh.

What’s cooking? Well, I made blueberry muffins! Yaaaaaay muffin! Mmmm. Actually, I hate baking. I just hate it. I think I am pretty good cook, but I am just awful at baking. Last time I backed cake, it was disaster. So, why I baked again? Because I am not quitter!! I don’t quite until I get better! Of course, I didn’t do well making muffins, but it’s okay. As you can see, the muffins do not look like muffins! Trial and error is the key to the success (even though I am more like error and more error kinda guy)!

My back is still itchy and scratchy! I couldn’t sleep last night because of stupid itchiness!! Ugh! But, I am planning to go to the beach this Friday! I am gonna take my text book and GBASP to the beach and will have good time cos it’s Kenny time!!!!

Last night, Michelle, Mike, and I went to Matisse after the class. I wanted to go there because all drinks were half price! Of course, I had Guinness!! I really think we should have couple drinks after the class because we are hard working students!

Since today is my day off, I really wanted to sleep until I cannot sleep anymore. However, I did wake up 7am… I forced myself to stay in the bed until 9am, so I guess I did pretty good job on spending lazy morning. I had couple chores, but I only did laundry! While I was doing laundry, I went for running. I could run more, but I didn’t want overuse my ankle (right one!), so I went back and picked up my laundry. Then, I went to the gym and lift some weights. I hate working out, but if I don’t, I feel so yucky and gross. According to the behavioral learning theory, I should like working out. I feel so awesome after I work out. Therefore, in the theory, working out would be conditional stimulus, and feeling awesome would be unconditional response. That means, I should start feeling awesome just to think about working out! Damn Pavlov! It’s not working!

I am sick of eating muffins I made couple days ago!!!!

Hmmm, I am so on diet. I have gained couple pounds in the past a month. I am assuming the reason why I gained weight is I couldn’t run for a month because I injured my ankle. Although I wasn’t doing so much cardio, I ate a lot aaaand had lots of Guinness! Not cool! I noticed that some of my jeans are getting tight! A year ago, my waist size was 29 ~ 30 inch. But, now, I am like 31 ~ 32 inch!!! When I was trying on the jeans at Urban Outfitters couple days ago, I was really upset 30 inch jeans were kinda tight! Geeeeeez. I know that I shouldn’t be freaked out gaining couple ponds, but as former obese kid, I cannot help it! So, I decided to go on diet. Well, my diet is pretty much all about no alcohol. Thursday night, I did have drinks, but I didn’t drink at all over the weekend! Yaaaaaaay! It was really hot outside today, and I just kept thinking “ice cold beer, ice cold beer, ice cold beeeeeeer!!” Now I know how Homer feels.

When I went to the beach last week, I noticed that I forgot to bring back my swim trunks and flip flops. So, I bought trunks today. The store I went to carries surfing goods. When I was browsing the store, I remembered the shop I worked last summer in Japan. My store also had all surfing goods, and I was trying to learn the kind of boards, wet suits, and other stuff! Ooooh, good old days. Anyway, I wasn’t sure where people can surf here, so I asked casher girl. She told me that people surf at the lake! I was like “Whhaaaaaaatz????” I really didn’t think the lake has enough waves. But, she was saying that there is a more than decade old lake surfing club in Wisconsin! Cooool! I learned that if you try, there is nothing you cannot do!!

So, I did not drink at all over the weekend which is almost miracle for me. I also did not go out and just stayed my cozy room. I do not remember when the last time I did not go out in the weekend. I am still working on “let’s lose 5-10lb and win back size 30” mega plan. I have no idea if my plan is working or not cos it has been only 5 days… But, I am enjoying jogging along lakefront, so it’s all good! When I was running today, I saw the storm on the lake! It was sooooo cool! I could see the clear line between sunny happy sky and dark stormy gothic sky! I was just glad that it didn’t start raining before I got my room!

I was really really bored at work today. The system was down pretty much all day, so no one could do anything. So, I was reading text book, talking to Ashley, annoying Ron and Lindsay, and doing other good stuff. Because I had plenty of time, I was checking DVDs I wanna buy. One of DVDs I wanna get is Gundam Wing DVD box set which costs $199. Also, I wanna get Fushi Yugi box set, Sailor Moon R (or S) box set, Magic Knight Rayearth box sets (season 1 and 2), and Six Feet Under DVD sets. I was telling Ashley how cool Gundam is, but she seemed to be confused (or couldn’t be careless!). So, at the class, I was telling my class mates that I wanna Gundam Wing DVD set for my birthday present. Of course, my birthday is sooooo far away, but I just wanted to give them 4 months advance, so they can organize to collect money and get DVD set for me. Oooooh, power of planning! Actually, no one knew what Gundam is. Courtney thought I was asking for Gone with the Wind! Aaaaaaah, it’s GUNDAM WING!

I had a mid-term in the assessment class today. Well, of course, I did not do well. Ugh!! I did study, but I didn’t study hard enough to get A….I think. Seriously, who remembered the difference between “test” and “inventory”?? Well, I don’t! Kim and Jeff were interested having couple drinks after the exam, but since I am on diet, I decided to not do. I am too tired to go jogging today, so if I had a drink, I would kill myself! So, I am glad that I did win the temptation!!

I am hungry.

It happened yesterday morning. I was preparing for letters at the office. Then, I realized that we were out of handbook for the newly admitted MBA applicants. So, I had to go to the Business School to get handbooks. When I was walking on the street, I realized I didn’t crap in that morning. So, I decided to use bathroom. In the bathroom, I was doing what I had to do, pooping. Then, I noticed that someone came in, and he was whispering something. I thought he was the kinda guys thinking out loud. So, I continued to focus on delivering. Then, I noticed that he was walking around the bathroom. I was kinda annoyed by him because there was no way I could make any noises while someone was in the bathroom! So, I decided to wait until he left the bathroom. But, he didn’t leave and kept whispering something. Because the bathroom was dead quiet, I could hear what he was whispering ”….suck my dick, suck my dick, suck my dick…” He was also trying to see inside (…me!). It was my one of the scariest moments in my life. Of course, I didn’t suck his dick because I was kinda busy!! I just cannot believe that he was actually looking for someone in the bathroom on campus. The bathroom I used was in the first floor, and there are security guys on the same floor! It was just fucked up!

I was really really tired through all day. I did manage to go to the gym in the morning, so it was good. But, I couldn’t go jogging! Nooooo!! But, I have lost 4lb, so I think I am on right track! My mega plan is working!! Yaaay!

I was playing Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicle over the weekend. Square finally came back to Nintendo after a decade of absence. Mmmm, alright. Since FFCC is Final Fantasy franchise, I had to buy it. Well, the game is nothing like regular FF series. The story line is really really thin and has no drama. Ugh. Well, but, of course, graphic quality is pretty decent, and game play is alright. I haven’t tried to multiplayer mode because I have no one to play with!! Oh nooooooo!! I gotta make Josh to buy this game…only if he can bring back his GC from his family! Anyway, FFCC is kinda disappointing game (as FF series). I am just waiting for FF I&II on GBA!

My weekend was so crappy. I think it started from last Thursday encountering weirdo in the bath room and finished up with meeting an online friend on Sunday which wasn’t really enjoyable for both of us. I think meeting people from online is not for me at all. I gotta stick with real people in the real world!

Well, I got my mid-term back today. Of course, I didn’t get A. I got B! Mmmmm, I thought I was getting C, so I guess it was all good. But, thing is that both Courtney and Ashley whom I studied with got A!! How the hell I got B and they got A? Hmmmmm, answer iiiiiiis, they are smarter than me! Hahahaha! Damnit!

I wasn’t feeling really cheerful today, so I stopped by Jeff&Kim’s apt to play with Sophie. She was soooooooooooooooo cute, and I could just eat her! But, since I am not Korean, I didn’t eat her! I think I played with Sophie for over an hour, and it was grrrrrrreat! Of course, Ron wasn’t happy with me having long long lunch break, but I didn’t care that much! I really wish I could have puppy!

I woke up 5am in this morning. I was so hungry. I was so thirsty. Why? Because I was having super hang over yesterday, and I actually had to skip work! Nonsense! Well, yes, I had so much beer in Wed night. Ugh! Thanks to the guy who was 35 mins late for the first date! Of course, I didn’t pay a dime. Well, I did pay for a cab though. Seriously, there are only two people can make me wait for over 30 mins, spongebob and James Joyce! Ugh, ugh, ugh, ugh! I really think I have natural tendency to repel guys…

I had another reason to wake up 5am. I asked Courtney that she should call me when she takes her dog to the park which is by my apt! So, we went to the park around 6am, and it was so awesome! I met several doggies which were all cute! Animals are so great! I love the fact I live by the zoo!!

Ugh. I am having so many alcohol beverages in this weekend! I really really think I easily have gained 10lb past couple days! All my lose 10lb mega plan is falling apart! Noooooooo!! It’s just stupid. So many parties in the one weekend! I went to Fernando’s going away party on Friday night even though I was dead tired. I hadn’t seen Priyada and Josh, so I really wanted to see them at the party! We chatted for couple hours and left the party because the party seemed to be going nowhere. I didn’t drink at all, so it was cool. However, today, I had 45 oz margaritas at Tarascas when we went there for the lunch! Idioooooot!! Then, we saw Napoleon Dynamite which was pretty funny feel good movie. Well, I was buzzed at the movie theater for sure. Then, we came back to my place and played Smash Brothers. Of course, we were drinking! Ugh! IdIoT! Then, I had to go to Lindsay’s birthday party from 9pm. The party was $25 open bar…aaawwwe!! Good thing was they didn’t have Guinness. So, I could control my alcohol consumption! But, I did drink fairly good amount of alcohol because I wanted to drink more than $25! The party was actually three birthday combined party, so there were so many people whom I didn’t know, well even Lindsay didn’t know! I am really glad that Lindsay liked the book I got for her…”fast easy healthy cooking.” Hahaha! I hope the book helps her to eat healthy!

I was helping Ashley’s moving yesterday. It was awesome day for moving because weather was perfect, not hot, not cold! Loading up her stuff was kinda sux because she lived in the third floors, and she had lots of furniture. But, unloading was super easy because her new apartment is first floor! And she now lives in my hood!! Yaaaaaaay!! After the moving, she bought us pizza and drinks. Grrrrr, they were soooooo goooooood! Of course, I had gooood night sleep.

At work, Lindsay was impressed (annoyed…probability) by how random I am. I mean I always ask her totally random questions. Today’s questions include “How do you feel about guys trim their body hair?” “How do you differentiate Peanut and Peanuts?” and “Why people have to make out on the street?” Well, I like asking random questions!

Bugs! I hate bugs! For some reasons, our office gets lot of bugs. When I was cooling myself sitting on the air in this morning, I noticed that so many bugs were flying along the window. So, I was flicking them cos I don’t like bugs. But, I kinda thought it is not sanitary to flick bugs with my own lovely fingers, so I started flicking bugs with rubber band. Well, obviously, it kinda made Lindsay scared a little bit cos she thought it was cruel and awful. Mmmmm, well, since I don’t eat meat, I shouldn’t kill bugs…I guess.

After the work, I met up with Darren and went to Kamehachi for dinner. I had sushi and sake. Hmmm, sushi wasn’t that great, they were just okay. I think Kamehachi is kinda over rated…I must say! Then, we went to AMC to watch Spiderman 2 cos we both hadn’t watched it yet. I thought the movie was really good. Grrrr, Toby is so hot!

I guess I am supposed to start writing a paper for the assessment class, but I haven’t started yet! Ugh! Oh well, what can I do!

Friday was my day off! Yaaaaaaaaaay!! I had my doctor’s appointment from 11:30am, so I had to go to the downtown. Since I had to go to the library to get some materials for my paper, going to the downtown wasn’t that bad. After I left my doctor’s office, I stopped by Nordstrom and bought my first pair of 7 jeans! Haarraaay! They were on sale! I know I have lots of jeans, but, these things happen! Especially, today was my payday!

Well, I guess today wasn’t totally my day off because I had to help out open house for SPS. When I got to the office, Jessica seemed to be having breakdown. Jessica is the one handles with all open house stuff. She told us that she forgot to order cater, so we needed to go to Jewel to get some! Oooooooooh! So, Jessica and I went to Jewel to get foods and other stuff! Aaaaah, last minutes shopping! But, it went all well! Because it was SPS open house, not so many people showed up. We were just hanging out and eating foods!

After I got off work, I met up with Darren at Belmont stop. Of course, he was late. Well, good thing I could kill some time checking out Belmont Army Surplus!! We went to Chicago dinner for dinner, and it was good. I had vegetarian fajitas! Yum yum gombo!!

Mmmmm, I am so going to work on my paper over the weekend cos I have to!! Ugh!
