I must stop baking scones! I don’t know why, but I cannot stop baking scones. I don’t like baking, and I don’t like scones that much! Whhhhhy!! I baked chocolate chip scones today…. I used rolling pin for the first time, and it was awesome. I also used silicon baking sheet for the first time too!! Seriously, that stuff is awesome! Oooh, Martha, you never let us dooown!

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pooooooooor! I was checking my bank account and how much I spend on my credit card (not dad’s one!) and realized that I have no self-control! I just got new credit card last month, and I already maxed out! How did it happen? Good thing there is no interest till this Aug…. I am good at academic stuff, but I am horrible, HORRIBLE when it comes to money. There is no word “saving” in my dictionary. Ugh. I don’t know why I am such a compulsive money spender. I worry about my financial future… Maybe I should get Suze Orman’s (even though I absolutely hate her!) book or something like that…

I think my diet is going pretty good. I started running more distance. I noticed that running really helps me in the good mood. Hmmmm, power of exercise! Now I just need to keep lifting weights….which I really really don’t like!

I have Sony MD Walkman which I bought the last time went back to Japan. I know MD didn’t catch up here, but I love it. I use it when I am working out, jogging, riding bus, or whatever I am doing outside. However, my MD Walkman has been sicky because I abused it soooo much! I guess he(!?) couldn’t tolerate my abuse…. I can still play songs, but I cannot records other songs! So, I have to listen to the same music over and over and over and over and over. Fortunately, I have quite collection of MDs, so it’s alright. But, I just hate I cannot records CDs I purchased recently. Mmm, I am so debating if I should buy another MD player or just buy flash MP3 player such as iPod Shuffle. Mmmmmmmmmm. Well, I have no money, so I guess I just have to wait til I pay off debt!

I stayed over Priayda&Josh’s house last night. I hadnt stayed over their house for a while, so it was fun. We tried to go to the Mexican restaurant in Lincoln Wood for dinner cos that restaurant was featured in Check Please! (restaurant critique show). However, well, of course, the place was packed, and there was no way we could get a table. So, we ended up going to Steak & Shake which I had no objection. Of course, I had a shake and cheese fries!

So, I have been playing pokemon since 1995. I think I am good at it. My friend Don has been playing pokemon for a while, and today, we battled for the first time. Well, of course, I did win. Ha-ha-ha-ha. It was actually quit fun to battle with other pokemon trainers. It’s just fun to show off what kinda pokemon you have. I think pokemon is one of the greatest games all the time. Although I defeated “kid A,” he completely killed me with Smash Brothers. Ugh! I thought I was pretty good at it, but well, I guess I wasn’t! I used to like Pikachu cos he is cute, but he is such a bitch!

Although I have decided to go to University of Minnesota, I was having a second thought because University of Michigan has offered me four years graduate assistantship. Four years! Damn! But, I finally declined the offer at UofM in this morning, and I feel awful! Am I making stupid decision or what! Well, I guess I don’t feel awful, but just I feel kinda guilty turning down such a prestigious school. Ugh. It would be nice that I would be able to say “yeah, I got PhD from U of Michigan.” Well, hmmm. Of course, I am happy with my decision to go to UMN, so I think it’s going to be all goooood. You know, tax free on clothes and foods in MN! And yeah, Mall of American! Yaaaaay! Well, I didn’t like that fucking mall though… Anyway, I was also officially offered graduate assistantship from UMN which made me happy too. I am so sure my dad will be happy cos he wont have to pay damn thing!

Katamari Damacy is fun!

“Nana~nananananananananana~, katamri damacy~.” This song. This fucking song keeps repeating in my head! It was huge mistake to buy Katamari Damacy couple days ago. It was only $19.95, so I just bought it. Well, I was playing that game until 4am last night, and I was playing it all day today! I am so hooked! Oh nooooooooooooooooooo!!!! Why???? Because this game has Japanese weirdness which I love! The objection of this game is simple. Roll the ball and make it big. How? Well, catching tons of objects in the game. I don’t know. I don’t know about this game, but it’s damn addictive. All songs in the game are sooooooo good in not healthy way. Lyrics are just screwed up…good thing most of Americans cannot understand Japanese!

A day after I turned down Michigan…hmmmm, I am still a little bit upset, but feeling alright. I think I wanna do post-doc at Michigan, and I think that’s good plan. Well, of course, I need to start off my program and finish it!

I did get Mohawk. You know, the hair style thingy… I must say that I kinda like it, but I also kinda don’t like it! Oh well, I am sure I will shave it off for coupe weeks!

I am really not sure about WWII thingy. Japanese prime minister apologized about WWII. You know, Japanese killed tons of Chinese and Koreans during WWII. Those two countries always get pissed off every time Japanese prime minister goes to Yasuhuni Shrine. They always say that Japan needs to take some actions to show our sorry what happened in WWII. I assume that they want some money from us. I know we have been giving lots of money to both countries, but, they just keep saying that they are not enough. Well, I totally understand that what Japanese did to both countries during the WWII were wrong, dead wrong! But, I do feel that we could focus on something else. I mean I don’t understand why China and Korea hate us so much. I feel that they emphasize what we did during the war too much. Hmmm, I really don’t wanna go into this issue because this is all about perspective!!

I really hate my school. It’s just bullshit!

Andrew and I went to see Moby show at Riviera last night. The show was really good, and we had awesome time. We were a little bit surprised by the fact that he didn’t play that much from Hotel. I thought all songs were well picked, but kinda safe songs….you know, popular songs from previous albums. Since I did see him before, I wanted to hear more new stuff, but well, the show itself was very very very very goooood, so no complain. After the show, we went to Tryst for drinks, but we were dead tired, after only one drink, we went back to my place. Actually, I found $5 in front of my apt! Yaaaay, lucky me! To celebrate my luckiness, we ordered pizza, but well, kinda. Of course, it was more than $5! Nothing better than midnight pizza….mmmmm.

Marc and I were discussing about the term “kick ass.” If someone has a nice butt, I could say “kick ass ass!!” Well, mmmm, I am not sure. I think word choices thingy were today’s my discussion theme. When I went to breakfast with Andrew in this morning, I was questioning him about “half and half.” He explained to me that it is half milk and half cream. I told him that it doesn’t make sense because cream is made from milk. So, it’s just one…milk, not half and half. Then, Andrew asked me, “how about half milk and half butter?” I said, “that would be butter milk.” I love those nonsense discussions!

I am really glad that I live in Chicago! Yes, this year, there is only one Lollapalooza and it’s here in Chicago! Yaaaay! The lineups are pretty awesome, Weezer, Death Cab For Cutie, The Killers, etc etc…. Awwwww, and don’t forget Bill Idol! Tee-hee!! Of course, I already did purchase tickets for the show. Two days of unlimited music! That’s going to be so awesome! Hope they don’t cancel this year though….

Because of lack of sleep, I wasn’t really functioning today. I had to give a presentation about substance abuse in GLBT populations, but I am not sure what I talked. After the presentation, my friends said, “ooh, Ken! You are so funny!” I was like “huh?” Well, I guess people in the class liked my comments about my super distant social life at gay bars! Since I am pretty much done with this class, now I need to start working on the paper for group counseling which is going to be so much pain!
