May and I

Well, it’s May. It’s May, but it’s cold. What the hell!!

I had a mission to get a Cold Play ticket yesterday. Ticket went on sale at noon. Because they are going to play at Metro, I went box office (which is Hi-Fi music) about an hour before noon. Well, of course, I couldn’t get fucking tickets! When I got there, there was already looooong line! It was just insane. The tickets were all sold out within 7 minutes and most of us who were standing line couldn’t get tickets! Lots of people were so pissed and screaming on the street. Well, I do like Cold Play, but I am not die hard fan, so I wasn’t really pissed that much. Instead of getting Cold Play tickets, I got Crystal Method tickets. Yaaay! I actually like them more than Cold Play, so I was pretty happy!

In this afternoon, I went to Chicago Art Show with Marc. It was huuuuuuuuuuuuuge show! Tons of galleries around the world were displaying art stuff, mostly paintings. Since I have no artistic eyes, some of paintings were “????.” But, it was lots of fun to see different kind of paintings!

Last day and I

Last Thursday was my last day at Loyola! Woohoo! I still have to make up the internship hours, but I finished all required classes! Freedom! Freeeedoooooooooooom!! Now, I have nothing to do till I start my PhD program at U of MN. Good thing I bought new video game!

I think my weekend was kinda hectic and required lots of patient. I was working on the paper for group counseling class pretty much all Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I barely slept Wednesday night! Then, after the class on Thursday, I went to Heaven on Seven on Rush for dinner with friends from the program. Well, it was Sarah’s birthday dinner thingy (and Cinco De Mayo thingy). I made a reservation at 7pm, but people were super late, and Laura, Jamie, and I had to wait for more than 30 minutes to get to the table! Hmmm!! After the dinner, we went to Matisse and had drinks. I hadn’t been there for a while, so it was good.

On Friday, I had a show to go. Yes, I went to the Crystal Method show at Metro! Tee-hee! Well, it turned out to be very painful. Marc and I had dinner at PingPong before we went to the Metro. And, well, I ran in to the instructor from the group counseling class!! What the hack! I though I wouldn’t have to see his face forever on Thursday, and bam!! He was eating thing at PingPong! I was still processing this unfortunate incident while we were walking to the Metro. Then, when we got there, there was a line… The show was supposed to start from 10pm, and we got there 10:30pm. Well, before Crystal Method show, there was Cold Play show. The Cold Play show was already over when we got there, but all their equipments were still inside of Metro. So, staff members were loading the equipments. I thought “oh well, maybe it will start from 11pm or so.” So, we were waiting outside of Metro for, well, an hour and half!! The show did not start till midnight!! Two hours delay….sux. It was just sux. Marc was dying at the table. Well, at least we could get to table and sit down, it was good. But, once the show started, it was all good (for me). I left him at the table and went to the floor and jumping much! It was really good show!

Aaaand, on Saturday, I went to Giordano’s for the lunch. Well, Marc was meeting with his friend there, and he asked me if I wanted to go along with him. Well, when we were driving Michigan ave., the street was super sucky and it took forever to get the Giordano’s in the loop! I was super hungry, but we had to wait 35~45 minutes to get our pizza. Well, actually, we didn’t get pizza… Our waitress screwed up our order, and our order wasn’t put in the kitchen. So, we waited for more than 30 minutes for nothing!!! Marc’s friend’s sister was kinda furious and told the waitress, “we are not paying anything! (we ordered calamari before pizza)” Then, the manager showed up and told us that we didn’t have to pay. Well, that was kinda good, I guess…

I was exhausted from all stuff happened over the weekend!! And I think I am still tired! Anyway, my point here is being patient is exhausting!

Matzos and I

Have you had matzo before? If you haven’t, well, you should try cos it’s delicious! Well, it’s not really delicious, but it’s good. I think matzo is much better than regular cracker. I was eating matzos with hummus for lunch today, and mmm..good! Since I love foods so much, my dream is to eat all foods around the world!

I have been playing Digital Devil Sage on PS2. I love Megami Tensei series, but I am not sure about this one. The game is cool, characters are stylish, game music is gooood, but I just don’t like DDS as much as other series. I think that’s because I cannot relate to the characters. I love Persona 1&2 and Nocturne because I could relate to, at least, one character. Ooooh, and I absolutely hate that all characters (except hero) speak! No! No no no no!!

I still need to get Pokemon Emerald!

Overstock and I

I hate overstock.com TV ad. The ad just makes everything sooooo sexual (I think) with the lady saying, “I guarantee” or “big O” with her sexy voice and well, sexy eyes! Ugh! When I first saw this ad, I thought the ad was for some kinda lady’s hygiene products because she kept saying “big O O O O O O O O O!!!” Oh well, anyway, I hate overstock.com ads!

My weekend was, hmm, somewhat busy. Marc and I were running all over the town. Marc purchased Zojirushi bread machine which cost him a fortune. But, I think it’s pretty cool machine cos you get to make not only bread, but jams, cakes, and even meatloaf! I almost bought panini maker at Sur La Table….thanks to Giada De Laurentiis!! I was watching her show other day, and in the show, she was making panini using panini grill which she got from Sur La Table. Ah! Panini!! I wanna make panini in my kitchen! Well, maybe I will wait for couple days to see if I still wanna get it. Ah, I am a smart shopper!

Micro and I

I must get Game Boy Micro! It’s so tiny and cute! Grrrr!! I like tiny cute things!

Hmmmm, I don’t know about next generation consoles… Xbox360 and PS3 do look great and I am sure they are super powerful machines. But, I am not sure if I really need them for just playing video games. Both consoles want to be multimedia hubs, but mmmm, I have PC, I have DVD player, and I have stereo. So, I am not really looking for those stuff in the video game console. Soooooo, of course, Nintendo Revolution looks really good! So tiny and cute! Yes, tiny and cute! Ooooooooooh!!! And, I cannot wait new Zelda comes out!!

I am so done with my school. I went to the international office yesterday and asked them to release me from the school. As an international student, I can only belong to one school. During I was at Loyola, the school held my student status, so the INS can track me down if I do something very very baaaad!! (or whatever!) I am obligated to report to INS every time I move or change my major. I don’t know what would happen if I don’t though! In order to receive I-20 (certification of eligibility for non-immigrant student) from UMN, Loyola must release me, so I can transfer my status, and UMN can issue new I-20 for me. It sounds complicated, but, well, yes it is!! Only if I have a permanent residency, I wouldn’t go through those craps! Hmmm, I need to get married or win the green card lottery…

Sentimental Value and I

I feel the city is finally warming up. Hmm, yay!

Marc and I went to the Museum of Science and Industry to check out the couple exhibits, Body Works and Game On. Body Works was interesting exhibit…. We got to see tons of real human bodies…. It was interesting, but now, I do not want to see human specimens anymore! The Game On was pretty cool. You get to see all history of video games! There were tons of classic arcade games, and I could play them for free! It was soooo like sentimental journey!....sentimental journey?! Well, I don’t know!! Yeah! Anyway, there were two Miyamoto’s Mario drawings which I really really wanted to get!! Aaaaaah!!!

I have been kinda sentimental in past couple days. It is really weird to see my friends from the program are leaving Chicago or getting jobs. I guess I just need to process more about leaving Chicago huh? Yay for my awareness of insight!

I still haven’t bough panini grill…

Beach and I

I was running. I ran and ran and ran and ran until I melted and became butter! Tee-hee! It was really nice out yesterday, so I was running along the lake. It was memorial day weekend, so, of course, there were tons of people out there doing whatever they were doing (such as BBQing). I saw the street was jammed with cars trying to get into the parking area at the lincoln park zoo. I wanted to check people out more, but my left ankle started hurting pretty bad, so after running three miles, I finished jogging. Since I only ran three miles, I feel kinda fat now! Oh nooooooooo!!

I got new Audioslave album at the Tower Records. Yaaay! I think it's pretty good. I also about couple other CDs there. When I was standing the line, the very very chunky lady was asking the casher guy where Fantasia's album was.... Interesting. I wasnted to tell her that dont forget to pick up Ruben's album too!! I was gonna buy new Weezer album, but for some reasons, I didnt pick it up. Maybe because I don't like their new single that much. It's alright, but its not that good.

I have been playing Star Ocean on PS2. It's painfully long and a lot of talking! It took more than an hour to get through opening! I thought this game was testing my patience! Good thing I am very very very very very very patient man!

I am off to Lake Geneva. Tee-hee!
