Very First Day and I
Today was my very very very veeerrrrry first day of school. I am so excited just thinking about I will be in the school at least next five years. Yaaaaay!! I just had one class and lab meeting, so it wasn’t that bad. In front of the student union, I don’t know why, but we could get free soda (well, all coca-cola products), so I was very very happy about it.
After I came back from the school, I was doing online training thingy. Since I will be helping out the experiments involving human subjects, I had to finish this, so I can make IRB happy. Actually, it was kinda interesting to learn about ethical issues relating past scientific researches. People did pretty crazy stuff back then!!
I got new webcam today! So, now I get to see all my friends over the internet! Well, actually, I got webcam, so Marc and I get to see each other (but not naked!). It was cool to see him over the internet, but I kinda got bored after 5mins!!!
I need to clean my apartment soooooo bad!!

Very First Weekend and I
I am so fucking tired! The past week was easily one of the hardest weeks I managed to survive!! I don’t know why, but I already have tons of readings I have to do. I do like to read, but not stuff like I don’t understand. The professor I am working with gave me (well, let me borrow) a book and told me to read chapter 1, 2, 3, 9 and 10. I wasn’t really freaking out at that time because even thought it was a book, each chapter was like 20-30 pages. So, I started reading and well, I started freaking out when I was reading the introduction!! The book was written in 1960s and well, there were several (hmmm, a lot!) words I did not understand. This book really really made me feel I am a stupid shit! Something I really didn’t need it for the first week of the school!! I had a meeting with the professor last Friday to discuss about the book and another article (which contained 70 pages...), so I had to actually finish reading. I did finish reading. Well, I really just read means my eyes went through these pages means my brain didn’t went through these pages!! I had an hour of fantastic discussion time with the professor (one-on-one! Lucky me!). Because I couldn’t understand and I thought I was stupid, I did warn the professor telling him that I did not understand damn thing the author was saying. It is hard to explain stuff when you don’t understand stuff!! Anyway, he was pretty understanding and said to me that when he first time read the book, he too didn’t get it. I wish he did tell me that before I started reading this damn book!! I started thinking that I may not be smart enough to survive in this Phd program!!! Anyway, now I am reading the book again, and well, hope this time I get some ideas what the author is saying.
I was sooo looking forward to this weekend. Why? Because I was damn tired from reading and tons of meetings I had to go. These meetings happened to be scheduled in the early morning, so I had to wake up earlier than the meeting time. Anyway, well, my weekend. Hmmm, I guess it was alright. I played video game Friday night and got dizzy. So, I took medication which made me super sleepy and drowsy, even next day. Good thing is that I received official permission from my dad to buy a sofa!! Yaaaaaaay! I am so going to the Marshall Fields tomorrow!
Oh, I liked both Simpsons and Family Guy tonight. But, I absolutely hated the War at Home which I had to watch cos the show was between Simpsons and Family Guy. I think the show was super ultra retarded and offensive. Well, I guess both Simpsons and Family Guy are offensive, but at least they are funny! I wonder where the Arrested Development is! I liked that show a lot and I thought the show was hilarious. Well, good thing I bought Family Guy DVD, so I can watch Peter over and over and over and over and over and over and again!!

Academic Slave and I
I think I am becoming an academic slave! I was working at the lab all day today. We were trying to set up the motion sensors which we are going to use in the experiment. I thought it would be easy, but oh hell no! I got to the lab around 10am, and I left there after 6pm. During I was in the lab, I was just working on this stupid sensors to work. The software is kinda sucky and it froze million times during collecting the data. Of course, we cannot allow the sensors to not work in the real experiment, so we had to check over and over and over and over and over and over and again. It was kinda tedious work, but I guess I was kinda enjoying doing it. I missed doing this kinda stuff. So, I was tired and kinda cranky, but I was kinda happy!
I am eating too much skittle.
Oh, and I finally bought floor lamp, so my living room is livable after sunset.

Weekend Trip and I
I went back to Chicago over the weekend. Since it was just for the weekend, I flew (with Northwest!). I had to run an experiment on Friday morning cos well, a subject was coming in, but as soon as I was done with, I drove off to the airport. Of course, my flight was delayed. It took almost as same time as if I drove. To make thing worse, my seat was in the middle of fat ladies. The lady who was sitting on the window side was just a killer. She crossed when the plane was taking off and seemed to be obviously nervous. But, as soon as she stopped staring the sky, she was snoring. Because she loved so much staring the sky and made her self nervous, she didn’t realize I was getting direct sun beam! It’s was death beam! I was fucking blind during the flight! And she was drinking way too much soda for her age.
Chicago was good. I did enjoy hanging out with Marc even though he took me to the family dinner! I think I ate too much while I was in Chicago. I seriously need to go on diet. I am growing horizontally too much!
I was soooooooooooooooo lost in the parking garage at the airport in this morning after I got back from Chicago. I did remember that I parked level 5, but I couldn’t really remember where. I almost cried after 20 mins of my gummpy searching. When I finally found my car, I was so happy, but pissed. I was more pissed when I was charge $48 for parking. I think it would be cheaper to take a cab!

Sleeper and I
It’s cold. Well, it’s not really that cold, but it’s cold enough to wear my lovely down vest. Also, it’s cold enough to figure out who is really a whore. If a girl is wearing tank top/t-shirt and micro mini in this weather, she is a whore. Yes, she is. And, she is gross. Yes she is. I saw one when I was waiting for the bus today. She looked very cold and I think she was cold. She was very obnoxious. She was talking on the phone super loud and smoking and just being whorish, and she was kinda ugly (and she was an Asian!). I don’t wanna be judgmental, but I just hate girls dress like whore!!!
I think this week has been pretty good. I have been running experiments, and I have been reading a lot. It’s just sux that my lab is kinda cold. I think I am doing pretty PhD studentish stuff. I have couple books I wanna buy, but I don’t have moneeeeeey!!! It’s time to call my dad I suppose!
I was talking to Ryan other day and I am glad he is still alive. Andrew and I started thinking maybe Ryan is dead or something because we hadn’t seen or talked to him for a while. He was still very Ryanish and doing Ryanish stuff such as auditing Beatle’s class at IUB even though he is at IUPUI!!
I really need to get Minnesota license. I think I am gonna get it tomorrow!!
