K and I

K is for kitten and K is for Kurumi which is my cat’s name, and I just found out that she passed away last month. I was in Chicago over the Independence Day weekend and came back to Minneapolis today. I just went to straight to the lab because I had so much work to do. After I came back to my apartment, I found a letter from my mom. It was pretty weird she sent me a letter because she really doesn’t do that (including email). In the letter, she said my cat died on June 21st. Seriously, it really sucks. My cat was pretty much only reason I go back to Japan! I was kinda upset that my mom didn’t call me the day my cat passed away. Hmm, I was gone for the conference in that weekend, but she could still call me before I left the town. Oh well, I really wish I could see my cat one more time. It really sucks!!

Stripe and I

I think I like Red Stripe. It’s Jamaican, and I can almost smell pot! Ha! I bought tons of Red Stripe at Sam’s Club last Friday, and now I gotta drink all! Well, I guess I don’t have to finish all, but I need all beers to be gone ASAP because I am on diet! It’s so hard to not drink when I see delicious beers in my refrigerator!

Last Thursday, I had a treatment for my dizziness. It’s called Epley maneuver, and I think my dizziness is gone!! It was super simple procedure that required no drugs or anything! Therapist just moved my head around for 15 minutes, and BUM! I was dizziness free! Well, I wasn’t sure until last Saturday because I was not supposed to move my head for 48 hours. It was really weird to not get dizzy when I moved my head to left because moving head to left caused dizziness for over a year!! I was pretty excited about dizziness free head moving to left side extravaganza. It’s good to be dizzy free!!

Die Hard and I

My phone finally died yesterday. I bought this phone couple years ago, and it was alright phone. But, after being dropped multiple times by careless owner, it started working not so great. My phone started picking up phone call without I actually answered the call. This caused so much outrage from my friends because they even couldn't leave message in my voicemail. My phone just picked up their calls, but of course, I had no idea they were on the line. What my friends could do was scream my name until I heard and answer the calls or just hang up. I was gonna buy new phone, but I kinda liked my malfunctioning phone until yesterday. When I tried to call my friend, my phone was turned off. So, I tried to turn on the phone. But, it didn't turn on. Eh. Well, I thought the battery was out, so I plugged it into the charger, but it didn't turn on. Eh. Then, I realized my phone passed away quietly. Well, at least my phone didn’t suffer, I think that’s good.

Since I do need to make phone calls outside of Minneapolis, I had to get a new phone right away. So, I went to T-Mobile store in this afternoon. I really wanted to get the phone has Bluetooth capability because I wanted to synch my address book and ical using isych. Also, I wanted to the phone has better camera function. These two, Bluetooth and better camera were pretty much what I wanted to my new phone. I thought it might be fun to get sidekick and feel like Paris Hilton, but I really do not want to browse internet or AIMing or Yahoo Messangering or whatever with cell phone because I am really okay with not able to talk to people every five seconds online. Therefore, I just told this sales manger lady that I wanted to get bluetoothish better camera phone. Also, I told her that I like to have a phone can use with Mac. She was like “oh, all bluetooth able phones can synch up with Mac.” Since I am people person, I believed what she said, and I bought Samsung t809. Well, I guess she was a bitch. After I got back home, I just noticed that isync does not support any Samsung phones!! What the hell!! I mean really! The lady I talked to at the store was sales manager, so I think she is supposed to know isync doesn't support Samsung phones?? What a bitch. Or, maybe it’s Apple’s fault. Oh well. Now, I have to type numbers in manually! How painful!

9:30am and I

This weekend was hot. Seriously, hot. Ridiculously hot. I could not go jogging because it was too hot to run outside. I did run on treadmill at the gym, but couldn't run that much because of smelly girl next to me. Seriously, I was the pretty much one running at the gym, and there were so many treadmill available (I think more than 20 of them), but for some reasons, she chose one next next to me! I mean really. Why? I was very annoyed by her choice of treadmill, but I was trying to let it go. But, when I started smell her not smell so good perfume, I almost got off the treadmill and make her smell my armpit! People should not wear perfume at the gym!

I was very not happy about the fact I ran out of coffee yesterday. I was too lazy to buy coffee beans, but I really needed to have some coffee in this morning, so I went to a coffee shop by my apt. It was Sunday morning, it was 9:30am, it was already hot, and it was raining, but the shop was filled with people. Well, that was not I was expected to see. I mean who goes to coffee shop at 9:30am Sunday morning? Well, I wouldn't. If I didn't run out of coffee, I wouldn't be there. I saw a guy who was wiping the chair outside and then, sat with his umbrella opened. Obviously, he couldn't find a seat inside, but he had to read his book there. I do understand probably that he does every Sunday morning. Go to coffee shop and read a book while enjoying his whatever he orders. But, well, I just kept thinking one thing, “Go fucking home!”

I just found out I like PBS. Especially, NOVA is really really good. How come I didn't know about this program?

This is my 800th entry! Yay!

Mania and I

I had to go to Bestbuy to pick it up the VGA cable for Xbox360 in this afternoon. Our lab bought Xbox360 for research, but of course, we have been just playing it for fun. We have been playing games on the huge projection screen in the lab, but it kinda involves a little bit of work to hook up the xbox360 to the projection screen. So, we had been asking the professor to buy us a VGA cable (and another controller!). I was finally able to pursue him to buy us the cable, so I went to BestBuy. While I was at BestBuy, I saw Beatmania, and it was half off!!! Of course, I did buy it because I like to pretend I am a DJ. Beatmania is DJ game, and basically it’s DDR, but you just need use hand, turn table and press buttons. I did not realize that the game is actually pretty hard. I played couple hours after I got back from the school, and now my hands and arms are super sore! Although I am studying perception and action, my perception and motor skill are not well communicating each other! Yikes!

Cranky and I

It has been freaking hot. I really think the earth is getting warmer! I just cannot take this heat anymore...really. I have been very cranky because I just cannot get comfortable. My office does not have an air conditioning, and it’s just like a hell. I can easily imagine what it would like to be in the hell. We keep requesting to the department that we are dying in our office, but I am pretty sure when we get the air, the summer will be over.

I am finally getting my backpay from the university. It took me more than a month to get my backpay. Seriously, what’s wrong with those human resource people! I just need to pick my check up at the human resource office (which is super far from my office building!) tomorrow.

My internet connection has been super slower in the past several days. According to the provider’s website (Ti%m War#er), they have been doing routine maintenance. Well, why the hell are they taking this long to do just maintenance?

Well, I guess that makes sense why I have been cranky, heat, backpay, and slow internet connection!
