I do not like hot weather. It has been hot as hell in Minneapolis. Although we have temporary a/c in the lab, it’s not really working well. The a/c is gigantic and blowing cold air, but since my desk is different room, I was still sweating while I was working. It really sucks. Central air will be installed soon, but it will be useless because it will be in the winter!!

It’s really sad that new semester began. I miss empty university. By the way, university workers are on strike now, and I see picket signs everywhere on campus. I feel sorry for them because they have to stand outside of building in this crazy hot weather.

I started thinking about iPhone… It’s cheaper now. But, I don’t wanna two years contract with at&t. I am a little bit disappointed by iPod touch. All touching and wi-fi stuff are cool, but 16gb for $399!? I am still happy with my 5G iPod.

I finally beat elite four + 1 in Pokemon Pearl. It took me too long to beat this game. Well, this wasn’t the only game I was playing, so I guess that’s why it took so long. But, now, I want to collect all pokemon. I really need to catch ‘em all. But, thing is I won’t be able to collect all pokemon. Some pokemon only you can get at Nintendo event. That’s how I got my precious Celebi (two of them!). I want to get Groudon (need to buy Pokemon Red or Pokemon Emerald or find a nice guy who can give it to me), Lugia (gotta buy Pokemon XD on GameCube or find a generous guy who can give it to me), and Deoxys (no way to get it for now….or find a wonderful guy who can give it to me). Oh, and I do want Mew too... I mean I can exchange my extra Celebi or Jirachi (so cute!) for these pokemon, but I cannot!! In order to trade online, pokemon has be registered in pokedex, and of course I haven’t been fucking seen these pokemon, I cannot even search for them! Grrrrr. Idiotic. So, if you have Deoxys or Mew, let me know.

Well, of course, there are newer event-only pokemon in Pokemon D/P. Nintendo hasn’t announced Pokemon events for D/P yet, so I am kinda waiting for it. And, I do not understand why I can only transfer 6 pokemon a day from previous pokemon games! Annoying!

I do not eat meat, but I am not a vegetarian because I do eat fish. I wish I could say, “look, cows (chicken or pork or rabbit or whatever) are no different from us!!” Of course, I cannot because I really do not care if you eat meat or not. I just don’t like eating meat, and it does not come with all animal rights crap. Since I don’t eat meat, I realized that I should be paying attention to protein intake. I decided to drink protein shake at least once a day, and eat foods that have lots of protein. I also thought maybe eating flaxseed would be really good for me because it has lots of omega-3 fat, a.k.a, good fat. So, I mixed flaxseed, cottage cheese, and granola for a little snack. I had it yesterday, and a minute after I had it, I noticed my back was itchy as hell. I thought, “hmm, Ah! I forgot to put sunscreen when I went jogging today and yesterday, and I got sunburn!” Yes, I thought my back was itchy because of sunburn. But, in this morning, I had exactly same thing for the breakfast, and right away, I started feeling some itchiness in my ear, nose, and entire body!! I was thinking, “oh boy, I am having dry skin or what!” But, of course, it wasn’t dry skin. I was having allergic reaction to flaxseed! Within 10 minutes, my eyelids were swollen like balloon, and my chest and back were covered with hives. I was experiencing shorten breath and thought maybe I should go to the hospital. But, I really didn’t want to admit I am allergic to flaxseed because flaxseed is supposed to be good for me! Yes, I was in denial. But, 30 minutes later, I knew flaxseed isn’t my friend. All symptoms I was having were exactly same as my allergic reaction to buckwheat. Yes, I am allergic to buckwheat also… Of course, I couldn't go to the school because I did not look pretty with all swollen eyes and hives. I was googling the words, “flaxseed allergy” to see if flaxseed really can cause allergic reaction. What I found was that flaxseed is good for people who have food allergy because it contains omega-3 fat! C’mon! I know omega-3 fat is good, but I was having fucking allergic reaction to flaxseed!! I am allergic to the food which is supposed to help my food allergy! I couldn’t help being drama queen all day today….

I need to catch ‘em all! So, I went to Toys’R’us yesterday to get Manaphy. Nintendo was giving out Manaphy there between noon to 3pm. I wasn’t sure why it was time limited… What the hell is Manaphy? Well, Manaphy is legendary water pokemon, and it is a really pain to get it (if you didn’t get it yesterday at Toys’R’us). In order to get Manaphy, you have to buy Pokemon Ranger which is another pokemon game on NDS, and you gotta finish the game, and you gotta do Manaphy mission, and you gotta get Manaphy egg, and you gotta transfer the egg into Pokemon Pearl or Diamond. Of course, you would be needing two NDS to communicate between Pokemon Ranger and Pokemon D/P. Painful! I almost bought Pokemon Ranger because I wanted to get Manaphy so bad. But, thanks to Nintendo, now I have Manaphy without buying the game! Yay! Manaphy is cute, but not as cute as Jirachi or Celebi!

I am so not sure about today is the last day of September. And I am so not sure about me moving out my current apartment in the end of October. I am so sure I need to find a place to live!
