2008 and I

Happy New Year’s! 2008 finally came! Oh so great!! I hope everyone had a great holiday and new year’s! Tee-hee!!

I was in Chicago (well, Skokie…) for 25th through 3rd. Yes, I just got back from Chicago, no, Skokie. I saw Andrew and his new girl for lunch, and it was great. I was planning to get hammered with him, but he was pretty sick, and we ended up having just lunch. No booze. We even ate at vegetarian restaurant, hmm, Chicago Dinner! I have mix feeling about this restaurant. The first time I went there, I loved it. Second time I went there, I hated it. And the third time I went there, I hated again. So, I stopped going this restaurant. Then, I tried again, and well, it was fine. Service and foods are somewhat inconsistent…

Since Marc is Jewish, we didn't do Christmas thing. Hack, since he is now living with his mom, I was staying at his mom’s house… Oh so much fun! I had to study for my preliminary exam anyway, so we did nothing. I was reading, he was doing whatever he was doing, and his mom was doing whatever she was doing. Hmmmm. But, for New Year’s, we hung out with Priyada and Josh. Sadly, this would be the last time we hung out with them in Chicago, because they are moving to sunny California! Crazy! Of course, we pigged out! For some reasons, whenever I hang out with Priyada, we eat. Seriously, we really eat a lot together. Then, we work out. You know, that’s how our world keeps spinning!!

It is really nice to be back in my apt. Now, I can eat chips without worrying about crums!!

Salad and I

I do not eat meat, but I eat fish. But, getting fresh fish isn’t easy job here. So, I usually eat lots of vegetables. Many Americans eat veggies too little, so I think that’s cool I eat alots of them. But, thing is that I get hungry right away if I just eat salad for lunch or dinner or whatever. I believe in eating super big breakfast, eat some for lunch, and eat little for dinner. Well, but it doesn’t really work well on my hungry stomach. I sometime think I have eating disorder or something because I am always hungry! If I have a drink or two (or more…), I will eat so much until I get tired of eating. I am so glad that I am not so into candies or sweet stuff! If I were, I would be a chunky monkey! I think I should eat more proteins, but I am not sure if I wanna eat soy beans every day. Well, I guess I can since I grew up with tofu and soy sauce…

I made mussel yesterday for dinner. I had no idea how cheap mussel is. I was thinking it would probably cost $10 per a pound or something like that since I always pay a lot to eat mussel at the restaurants. I bought 2 pounds of mussel and ate all! It was soooooo easy to make and super good! I am so making mussel again!
